Every island has exactly one solution, so you never have to guess.
Tap a cell once to mark it as water, your note that no lighthouse goes there. Tap again for a lighthouse, and once more to clear it.

A fresh island every day, the same one for everyone.
The lighthouses you collect along the way, on display in your cabin.
Each island shows its difficulty, from Gentle up, and a timer that never runs out. Hide it if you like.
Lighthouse is free to play, and nothing stops you from playing the next island: no hearts, no lives, no energy. There are no ad breaks before island 20. After that, a short ad can play between islands, and a one-time purchase removes them. Undo is always free.
Hints can also cost coins or an optional ad. Coins come from playing, and the Shop sells optional coin packs.
