About

About astro90

A small independent games label from Rotterdam, part of Ktesio.

The astro90 logo: the name standing on a horizon line, with a quadrant dial whose star sits at 90 degrees as the name's degree sign.

Why astro90

A star at 90 degrees stands straight overhead, at the zenith: the highest point in the sky, and the easiest one to find your way by. The ring at the end of our name is that star, sitting where a degree sign would.

It's a good reminder for a small studio. Make a few things, aim them high, and keep them clear enough to steer by.

What we make

Small games, each built around one simple idea, polished until it shines.

How we make them

  1. One idea, polished

Each game has a rule you can learn in seconds and enough depth to keep you coming back. Inkube has one swipe and one rule. Lighthouse has one lighthouse per row, column and region.

  2. Play first

Open the game and play. There's no account to make and nothing to sign up for.

  3. Straight about money

Our games are free and show ads, and we say so up front. One purchase removes the ad breaks, and the optional ads stay if you want them. No energy timers, and nothing that locks you out.

  4. Calm by design

Clear contrast, readable type, and ways to turn the motion down, in our games and on this site.

Who we are
